Why is so important Ultrasonic for dental extraction?

The goal of the use of this device called ultrasonic is to preserve bone for a future dental implant and to give the patient comfort during an extraction and the reason this happens is actually because of this groove that the Piezomed W&H makes around the tooth that loosen it from the bone before the forcep is placed on the crown to remove it.
That is why we present this video in wich you can see this groove well defined that explains for itself the way the tooth is going to be removed from the mouth. To place a dental implant with this method is a sure thing because the bone is very well preserved. This is the favorite way we choose in our clinic of dental implants in Costa Rica.

The first most upper image is a dental scan of the central incisor area in wich the bone does not support a dental implant without exposing some of the threads of it.    The second lower image shows after a block bone graft is made and secure in place with one titanium screw, now there is sufficient bone to receive a nice dental implant.   This preparation with a bone graft is needed in 90% of the cases in the anterior upper maxilla, because of esthetics.   We are more to prepare to offer this type of procedures thank’s to our 27 years of experience.

Local anesthesia

In 1905 came to the market Novocain (procain) wich allowed painless dental treatments at last.  Today we use lidocain and other similar drugs wich help us all indeed to place dental implants and in general make dentistry heaven compared to what was before.    By then the use of needles needed to sharp them and “sterilize” them with hot water and other substances with doubtfull results.  Now we use one use needles and in our clinica for example in the same patient we use more than one new needle so everytime we inject lidocain, the sharpness of the tip of the needle passes through the gum with minimun trauma and therefore less pain.  We use topical anesthesia and try to tell a good story to distract our patients and use all kind of tricks to make this part as easy as possible...

How to decide wich fixed prosthesis are best for you?

A dental implant is the first step to replace the missing tooth through the placement of a Crown supported by the internal part of the titanium core of the fixture.   The options for the dental implants placement vary from a single tooth to a full mouth restoration with removable or fixed dentures.  the tooth can be replaced inmediatelly meaning that the extraction, implant placement and a crown are placed the same day.   Also extraction of all remaining teeth on the lower jaw are ideally to place 4 or 5 implants and build a so called Hybrid fixed denture in three or four days.   The idea of a so called all on 4 is real and can be done with excellent results.   We also use all on 5 wich from costs is almost the same compared with the all on 4...
